Research Interests

I am committed to teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level. I strive to establish a teaching environment that encourages learning of the curriculum and empowers my students to become life-long learners. In my role as instructor, I show my enthusiasm for mathematics and I try to practice and provide opportunities for critical thinking, set high expectations, yet be nurturing, use a variety of teaching strategies and encourage student feedback. It is very important to me that my students find me approachable and feel listened to with their concerns. I continuously pick up valuable information from research done in education and seek opportunities to apply it to my own teaching.
