Graduate

Welcome to the Department of Mathematics at Simon Fraser University. This webpage provides information on our graduate programs for both prospective applicants and our students. Please feel free to browse through it.

Mathematics is a important human endeavour, and one which has had important consequences and application in many fields. Graduate studies in Mathematics provides the opportunity for learning, teaching, and creation of new and advanced mathematics. Our graduate programs represent one of the most vibrant and forward looking in Canada, and our faculty represent research interests across a wide spectrum of Key Areas of the Mathematical Sciences.

See the page for Prospective Students for information on application procedures and program descriptions. You may also be interested in the Financial Information page for possibilities for support. Essentially, all our students are fully funded.

To get a better idea what goes on in our department, take a look at the Research pages or the Researcher profiles. You may also want to take a look at the regularly run Seminars and at the Reading Courses that supplement our Regular Courses.
